Guinness World Record - 1500 People around the cymbal for the first time in the world:
On 30th December 2024 Guinness World Record competition was organized at CMC School, Coimbatore. 1500 members from all over India took part in this event. From our Mabel Day Care Centre M R Kanishka (5 years) and her brother M R Varun Mani (4 years) took part in this Guinness World Record event, successfully rolled the cymbol continuously for 45 minutes and their names are added in the Guinness World Record.
Their parents expressed their gratitude for encouraging her children and supporting financially for this Guinness World Record.This event was telecasted in six Newspaper (Dina Thanthi, Dinamani, Malai Murasu, Dinakaran, Malai Malar and Hindu Newspapers ) and TV Channels (Sun TV, News Tamil, Jeya Plus, Polimer and Puthiya Thalaimurai)
Various types of Silambam competitions are being conducted in order to take Silambam the
traditional game of Tamil, around the world. As part of it, Silambam and Karate fests were
organised jointly by Fighters Academy and Holasika Karate Organisation at the CMC
International School grounds in Dithipalayam area of Coimbatore.
In this record – breaking program, around 1500 people from 4 years old children to 50 years old people circles the cymbol at the same time, attracting the attention of the audience. 1500 people around the cymbol are listed in the Guinness Book of records, and for this World Record competition musicians from all district including Chennai, Coimbatore, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu and neighboring states sus as Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Puducherry have performed this feat simultaneously around the drum.
As this feat has never been achieved anywhere else in the world, it is noteworthy that it is
included in the Guinness Book of world records. Talking about this the president of Fighters
Academy Ramesh Kumar said that the young head sports competitions play an important role in
promoting the youth’s health and well – being, encouraging people to take interest in sports and
keep them away from cell phones interest and drugs. He said that this achievement was made to
take it among all the youth.
The event was presided over by Bitters Academy president Ramesh Kumar and special guests were one Idli grandma world Silambam Sangam, President S Sudhakar, Secretary Geetha Madhu Mohan and CMC School Chancellor I Nathar and President Leema Rose.
